First destination: Mozambique

16 december 2015 - Milange, Mozambique

In the morning I start travelling to Mozambique. The same custom (Charles) offers to bring me to the border if I pay the gas. It is not busy at the border so at 10 am I arrive in Mozambique. Luckily Charles found a ride for me from the border to the first village, from where I can take the bus. When I arrive in the village I hear that there are no more busses and I have to wait until 4am the next day. Again I have troubles with withdrawing money and I change my Malawian kwacha, which is not enough for a hotel, food and a bus ticket. Again I am lucky to know a person who is willing to help me out. He puts me in a hotel and in the end pays for my food and bus ticket. When I ask him how I can pay him back he tells me to not mention it anymore. The rest of the day I spend sitting in front of his car gear shop watching people, why people pass by to watch me. In the evening there is a big power cut and I experience my first tropical storm. People on the street start running and shouting when the thunderstorm starts. I stay inside on a closed veranda with my books and coloring for adults while I watch the scenery.
